John Chandler Odum

Mr. John Chandler Odum passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Lumberton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton, NC at the age of 93.

Mr. Odum was born April 3, 1925 in Robeson County, NC to the late Howard McKinnley and Annie Wiggins Odum. He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Smith Odum and his son, Stanley Odum, his brother James Odum and his sister, Annie Stewart Britt. He served in the US Navy during WWII.

He is survived by a son, Glen Odum and his wife Betsy of Wagram, NC, a daughter, Laura Jackson and her husband Rick of Greenville, NC, a son, John B. Odum of Wagram, NC, 1 brother, Charles T. Odum and his wife of Helen of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, 2 sisters, Catherine Tyner  of Lumberton, Elizabeth Tyner and her husband Wayne of Lumberton, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will from 2-3pm Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Crumpler Funeral Home 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3pm in Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend James Wilhide officiating. Burial will be in the Alloway Cemetery.
