Rosie Alice McKoy, was born to the late Mr. John Henry McKoy and Mrs. Willie Bee Johnson McKoy on February 5, 1958 in Red Springs, NC.
She gained her Angel Wings January 5, 2018 at her home. Awaiting Rosie’s arrival around Heaven’s Throne are her parents, John Henry McKoy and Willie Bee McKoy; seven brothers, Zannie, Henry Lee, Dock, John Lee, Curtis, Levern and John Henry; one sister, Barbara Ann, and one grandson, Joshua McKoy.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories: one daughter, Tonya McKoy (Ronald) of Red Springs, one son, Jamell McKoy of Red Springs; three granddaughters, Latonya McKoy, Moesha McLean and Lacresha Brown of Red Springs; one grandson, Mel’Quan McKoy of Red Springs; two great granddaughters, Nevaeh Barton and Cayana McKoy of Red Springs; three sisters: Jackie Woods (Reggie) of Charlotte, NC, Delois Johnson and Elizabeth Gates (Leo) of Brooklyn, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends from far and near. Rosie will be remembered for her laughter, talking, fussing and her big smile. Her favorite saying was: “I’m not going to worry about it. I’m going to pray about it and put it in God’s hands.” Rosie was a woman of strength and courage through everything in life and was loved and cherished by many. Deep in her heart, she loved her family and friends.
