Mr. Archie Lee Troy was born October 27, 1946 in Columbus County, North Carolina to the late Dolphus Troy and Maggie Troy. As a young child, Archie was raised by his late maternal grandmother, Beatty Rouse in Columbus County, North Carolina. After becoming a teenager, Archie moved to Red Springs, North Carolina with his parents and siblings. Archie is also preceded in death by his brother, Curtis Troy and granddaughter, Brittany Michelle Troy.
On Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation in Sanford, North Carolina; God decided to take him home to be with Him where there is no more pain, suffering and sorrow!

Archie was a graduate of Peterson High School, Class of 1965. He was fond of his fellow classmates, Professors and teachers as he spoke of them often; especially the agriculture and carpentry Professors which he had a passion for.

Archie was raised in a Christian home where his faith was built on a firm foundation. He professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Archie was among the original founders of Creflo Dollar Ministries while residing in the Greater Atlanta, GA area. He served as a Minister of the Gospel throughout the Greater Atlanta area. After retirement, Archie returned home to Red Springs, North Carolina and joined Rhyne Memorial United Methodist Church. Archie was masterfully gifted with his hands. He used his hands to build a life-long successful career as an Electrical and Maintenance Foreman. Archie retired as an Electrical and Maintenance Foreman from Fulton County, Atlanta, Georgia. He also used his gifted hands to be a blessing to others that needed any home repair work did in the community. He was always known to strive to be the best at his craft. His work ethic was evident in the meticulous attention that he paid to the smallest of details. Archie worked as if he was working unto the Lord. Archie continued to enjoy using his hands after retirement. He enjoyed renovation projects, plumbing, electrical and painting tasks. However, his favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends.

Archie leave to cherish his memory: his mother, Maggie Troy of Red Springs, NC; seven children, Kim Troy-Richardson (Gordon) of Greensboro, NC; Karen Troy-Richardson (Demond) of Fayetteville, NC; Dolphus Troy (Amanda) of Winston-Salem, NC; Andre Troy (Shonda) of Newark, NJ; Troylakeyia Sigle (Nalo) of Huntersville, NC; Michael Troy (Tameko) of Aberdeen, NC; Marshall Troy of Fayetteville, NC; two brothers, Leroy Troy (Dana) of Fayetteville, NC and William Troy (Queen) of Newark, NJ; two sisters, Linda Smith (Charles) of Red Springs, NC and Carolyn Richardson (Kim) of Red Springs, NC; 24 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
