Betty Lou (Lindsay) Thaggard

Ms. Betty Lou Lindsay Thaggard, 85, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020 in her home.

Betty was born in Robeson County, NC, daughter to the late Earl and Eula Mae Smith Lindsay. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church, Red Springs, member of the Choir and served as the Church Secretary for 40 years. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Thaggard and a son-in-law, Kraig Jarvis.

She is survived by her daughters, Shandra Mitchell of Fayetteville and Bonnie Jarvis of Red Springs; a brother, Raeford Lindsay of Asheville and a sister, Helen Davis of Lumberton; 2 grandchildren, Lindsay Blackburn (Daniel) of Selma and Sarah Copley (Daniel) of Clayton; great grandchildren, William Blackburn, McKenzie Copley, Mylee Copley and Paisley Copley.

A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 16, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 701 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC 28377 with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.

Burial will be private.
