Dorothy Ann (McGirt) Hammonds

Ms. Dorothy Ann Hammonds, 67, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro.

Dorothy was born in Robeson County on February 24, 1951 to the late Marvin and Sofronia Chavis McGirt. She was a homemaker and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Danny Ray Hammonds, Travis Hammonds, Mark Hammonds, Michelle Pone and Vernice Autry; a brother, Bobby McGirt; 3 sisters, Eva Gordon, Josephine Locklear and Glenda Lusk; 20 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 east 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC 28304.

Funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM with Bishop Ellis Autry officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crumpler Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
