James Archie Williams

James Archie Williams, 75, answered to a higher calling on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. James was preceded in death by his Mother; Ms. Omelia McNeill and his loving Uncle that was a father figure to him, Mr. Vander Lee Williams. Both loved and cherished James dearly.

James attended Peterson Elementary School in Red Springs. He later met and married Rebecca Gaye Jackson. During their 25 years of marriage, five children were born into this union.

James worked at Red Springs Mills as well as J.P. Stevens in Wagram. After many years of service, he retires in 2009.

Left to cherish his memories are two Sons; James Williams, Jr of Red Springs and Andre Lamont Williams of Gibson, NC, three Daughters; Wanda Love (William) of Red Springs, Angela LindQuist (Lucien) of Stockbridge, GA, and Connie Jones of Durham, NC. 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, two Aunts; Louise Ricks and Hannah Purcell both of Baltimore, one Uncle; Jack Gilchrist of Baltimore and a host of cousins, family and friends that will miss him dearly.
