Pearl Lee (Torrey) Richardson

On Friday, May 8, 2020, Ms. Pearl Lee Richardson, 81, made her journey to Heaven to be with her Savior and loved ones.

Pearl was born in Robeson County on March 15, 1938, daughter to the late Will Torrey Sr. and Gencie Torrey Cooper. She was a faithful member of Victory Temple Church of God in Fayetteville. Working several jobs throughout her lifetime to include the House of Raeford and before retirement with several school districts in Food Service. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Richardson, a son, Leslie Richardson Jr., a brother, Willie Torrey Jr. and a sister, Anna Mae Hart.

Pearl leaves to cherish her fond memories: three sons, Stevie Richardson, Kim Richardson (Carolyn), Corey Richardson (Ebony), all of Red Springs, NC; two daughters: Wanda Richardson (Ralph) and Karen Richardson, both of Red Springs, NC; two sisters: Lillian Franklin of St. Paul’s, NC and Shirley McMillan of Raleigh, NC; 16 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.  She also leaves a loving legacy of sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews (special nephew: Darrell Franklin), aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Ave. Red Springs, NC 28377

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Street officiating.

Burial will follow in Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs.
