Mrs. Shirley Lee Barnes of Red Springs passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 76.
Mrs. Barnes was born in Robeson County on September 24, 1944 to the late Freddie Braxton Lee and Lydia Norine Lee.
After retiring from WestPoint Stevens, our caring mother spent her time crafting, reading, and taking spontaneous trips to Holden Beach. Our mother loved thrift shopping and chunky dangle earrings. She enjoyed spending time with family that resulted in memories for a lifetime. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Wilton Barnes and two brothers, Ray Braxton Lee and Fredrick Douglas Lee.
